Nearby attractions include the Spitzkoppe, Brandberg, Cape Cross seal colony, Welwitschia plains and bird sanctuary at Walvis Bay, Swakopmund with its rich German South West African culture and jetty, lichen forest, Omdel Dam with its wealth of bird life, the Uchab River with its desert adapted elephant and the Skeleton coast park are all within easy reach of Henties Bay and De Duine.
